Forbes Asia baru sahaja melancarkan 2019 Senarai Orang Terkaya di Malaysia, memaparkan senarai 50 ahli perniagaan yang terkenal.
Bagaimanapun, Forbes melaporkan disebabkan pertumbuhan ekonomi Malaysia yang perlahan pada tahun lepas, perniagaan tidak begitu baik untuk kira-kira 30 orang jutawan yang disenaraikan dalam orang-orang terkaya di Malaysia.
Maksudnya harta kekayaan mereka menyusut.
Sementara itu, hanya 11 orang di senarai ini melihat keuntungan tahun lalu.
Beberapa faktor yang mungkin menyumbang kepada penyusutan kekayaan ini:
- Saham negara yang melanda pada tahun lalu
- Ringgit merosot 3 peratus berbanding Dolar AS, dan
- Peristiwa bersejarah GE14 yang berlaku pada Mei 2018.
Walau bagaimanapun, masih ramai di antara jutawan ini yang tetap tersenarai sebagai orang yang terkaya di Malaysia.
